2017 Vauxhall Astra astra sri k 2017 auto gearbox keeps going into limp home mode. please help.

engine warning light comes on ,then gearbox goes into limp home mode,car is unusable when this happens.local mechanic can not find any fault on his plug in diagdostic meter.i am at a loss,can you suggest what may be wrong.many thanks.mr.p.

Sounds like your local mechanics scanner is not capable of scanning all modules and retrieving the stored fault codes , need to go elsewhere or VX dealership
