2013 Vauxhall Astra clutch pedal stuck

Clutch pedal stuck down. I was attempting to change gear from 3rd to 2nd whilst going uphill. My son came, and the problem was still there. We got out Green Flag, Green Flag engineer said that there may be a leak between the pedal and the engine. My son managed to drive it home, after he had manually released the clutch pedal. To the local garage, where they said nothing was wrong with it!
