2001 Vauxhall Astra misfire

I have a intermitting misfire when engine has warmed up, I was advised to replace my coilsb,
I know what a ignition coil pack is,
is it a part or something else,
if it is a part I might as well replace the ignition coil pack

wife has 55 reg sxi astra with misfire vauxhall changed spark plugs and is now cured.Problem is vauxhall will only change plugs every 3yrs what a ripoff on servicing.
