1998 Vauxhall Astra radiator fan not working

the fans not working on the radiator,the light on the dash board has just come on since i changed the motor for the interior blowers.a friend has had a look but cannot find the plug.he removed a box in the bottom left hand corner replaced it but still nothing any ideas?

is the rad hot when warning lamp comes on that will tell if its a circulation problem or electrical

the light comes on as soon as its started.
