2016 Vauxhall Astra no power in 2nd gear

It has started having episodes of no power when in 2nd gear, if you move up to 3rd its as if its going to eventually stop as it starts slowing down so I put it back to 2nd. It feels like it's in limp mode but there are no warning lights.

You could try scanning with Tech 2/3 or similar for fault codes but this is a known and common fault which is often asked with varied solutions offered , as you can see here for example .

hi there i had something similar no power after loosing powier after engine cutting out.
5mechanics nothing, i went to last one which was trusted but not cheap on the beggining they didnt know but the tear apart all car to find cause because no codes no warning lights and no faults(its bosch car services) ecu crank cram shaft coolant sensor battery filters oil all changed. On the end it was properly broken Catalistyc conventer parts were properly loose inside probably blocking or something with problem of Lambda sensor it cost me a bit but at least hope it was this fault. so maybe its good to check it in your situation?
