There is this really loud metal tapping noise coming from the engine that sounds like metal hitting metal on the passengers side it happens when the car starts up and then stops when the car had warmed which is now taking 20 mins if not longer when its stopped the car drives as it should but have no idea what it could be i do have a video of the noise

You dont say what engine . If it's a 1.3 L CDTI Diesel it has a timing chain which can rattle when worn .

It could be a tappet noise but other possible causes as the engine gets older , but hard to say without checking . Sometimes changing the engine oil and filter , using correct , good parts helps as oil can circulate better and quicker . You can also get noise from injectors but from your description , doubt it's that , It wouldn't go wrong to go into any decent local garage and let them hear the noise and give you advice before getting in to deep with possible repairs and costs .
