Car wouldn't start.

2017 Vauxhall Astra SRi 1.4 Turbo
Car: Vauxhall Astra
Year: 2017
Variant: SRi 1.4 Turbo
Recovery vehicle operator confirmed there was no indicator of any vehicle problems or battery failure. As a last resort he disconnected the battery for ten minutes then reconnected it. The car started immediately. How can a recurrence of this be prevented? I drive as a lone female in a rural location.

Not got a lot of faith in the capabilities or knowledge of some who run these recovery services based on dealings with over the years . He should have been able to diagnose fault on scene of breakdown and advise accordingly . Not knowing a lot of factors ,hard to accurately guess on what caused it . You could get your battery and alternator LOAD tested to eliminate that possible cause . Most places like Halfords or fast fit centres do this f.o.c while you wait . Simple 5 min test .
