Chugging when driving

The car seemed to cough a couple of times now it's chugging in every gear when driving and loss of power engine management light is on

Coil packs failing are often a cause , if you want to be sure , scan it for fault codes . Could also check / clean MAF .

I thought it could be the coil pack but was hoping that it was something a little bit cheaper lol I'm waiting for my friend to possibly plug it in his gizmo but what do you mean by clean MAF??? That's one thing I haven't heard of yet thanks for your advice so far
