At first it was working fine then i put in red x and filled the tank, that afternoon it cut out with no warning. after a while it started again and went on like this for a week. Now it won't start at all i have changed the coil pack and fuel pump relay. had it plugged it but now fault was found. It hasn't started for two weeks and i tryed to start it and the fan light came on and the fan kicked in. Im getting desperate as need my car. Any ideas?? from Kev

get the crank sensor out and check its resistance, or substitue it for a known good sensor. Try partco for a replacment.

Thanks for your reply. I have already changed the crank shaft sensor and had no luck. so far things i have tryed: Crank shaft sensor, coolent modual, fuel pump relay, and coil pack. each isn't making any difference. Any other ideas please?

Silly question but have you checked for compression? Could be cambelt failure.
