2014 Vauxhall Astra astra j 2014 diesel loss of power

Astra j 2014 diesel won't rev above 1400rpm and will only drive about 5mph max. Garage which l took it to told me that the DPF was blocked which they cleaned and also the EGR. After doing this they were left scratching their heads!! Any ideas anyone?

Did they scan it , should be fault codes stored ?

Thanks for replying quickly. Yes, I think they did first off but they didn't tell me the fault codes so l don't know. l got the car home in limp mode (max 5mph) and it has been sitting on my driveway and l am wandering what to do next.

There are so many possible causes you really need to scan it with the like of Tech 3 or similar . Fuel filter and plugged cat / exhaust are just two of the many common causes , but total guesses .
