2006 Vauxhall Astra door/boot open light on dash keeps coming on when you unlock the car

When I unlock my car, before I even open the door, the door/boot open light comes on, on the dashboard. I have found that I need to open and close the boot for this light to go out. Also, sometimes when I’m driving the door/boot open light will suddenly come on and also it sounds the beeping alarm you get when you open the drivers door with the keys still in the ignition or leaving the lights on. Is there a sensor in the boot that may have gone wrong ?

Possibly internal boot lock issue ,if your having to open and shut to put it out,unless wiring at hinge is playing up.

Usually a micro switch on lock assembly that can sticks often due to water ingress , but WD 40 often cures .
