New battery & starter motor, still not charging

had a new battery & starter motor fitted,ran ok for around a week,then cut out on way home,everything lit up like a christmas tree. things thst have never come up before, eg, battery saver active,service parking brake,service power stering, battery light on & all the other things. got it started with jump start, ok fo a few minutes then everything lit up again. left running for a while, turned off flat. any help would be very appreciated

You want to load test your alternator and replace if needed

Would also check battery terminals and starter leads have been correctly secured,and as previously suggested alternator, other thing to check is the ignition switch okay it’s not sticking and causing an issue that Causing the starter to be engaged intermittently

Thanks for the replys, bit of a mistake, had a new alternator fitted not starter motor, head up my backside, got an auto electrician coming out. Much appreciated??

No problem . Get him to check the new alternator is charging o.k . Often get wiring faults or even a faulty alternator in many cases that throws you off track . Simple two min check to eliminate one possible cause .
