my astra started off with poor starting, i replace the injectors and fuel pump which allows it to start 1st time everytime. But now it poors black smoke out the exhaust. the pump timing has been pinned up and is correct.

check the intercooler hoses. if one of them is split it will cause the engine to give black smoke. then check the engine management and see if any codes are stored. possible coolant sensors but plug-in first!! hope this helps!!
