2011 Vauxhall Astra keeps going into low power mode ( limp mode )

had previous problems with the EGR system, so the garage blocked the system off. Still the car goes into low power mode so I keep stopping the car and restarting it to get the low power mode off. the engine management light is on all the time. Could you tell me how to resolve this problem.

Garage should have scanned it,
if the EML is on then there's stored codes.
Get it scanned.
