2005 Vauxhall Astra loss of oil &heat from engine

i am using lots of oil when i go above 60 miles a hour and it get's very warm inside can't see any smoke anybody got any idears.

Compression test and oil pressure test.
you have to find out where the oil is going.
it could be heat generated by failing oil feed.

Some of those Vaux 1.6 engines were notorious for oil usage .Vauxhall said 1 lt every 1000mls was acceptable . Have you had the timing belt replaced as per schedule ? If not and it's worn / stretched , timing may be out causing engine to run hot also .

had the timing belt done when the piston rings where done.

yes the timing belt head gasket piston rings oil filter all done about six weeks ago as i said it's a lovely car to drive apart from the heat off the engine and the loss of oil.
