Hi, the courtesy light keeps going on and off randomly. Sometimes it stays on all the time. Please can you help

On some Astras , pulling the light switch in / out operated the light .Check it is completely off .If no exterior switches at door pillars , there is usually a micro switch in door lock assembly which often sticks and sometimes can be cleared by spraying with WD40 .
