Engine tapping / knocking

Hi there. I have a 55 plate astra van z17dtl. It has a tapping / knocking noise only when the engine is warm. I have changed the oil and filter 2 times and the noise is still there. It only starts making the noise when it is up to temperature. Please help

Best guess from a distance would be a faulty injector.
Any excess smoke from the tail pipe?

Thanks for reply. smoke at all. The engine runs and pulls great. It has no codes coming up with the pedal test.

I think you have the engine with delayed oil pressure, when starting in the mornings, engines rattles until oil light goes out - bad news - its not good on big ends. Vauxhall know about this problem. Let me know how long oil light takes to go out - it should be out within 2 seconds, and how many miles its done.

The oil light goes out straight away. And it's definitely not big ends knocking. It is top end. The knocking is more like a tapping. It stops when I rev it but always comes back when it returns to idle. And it only happens once it's warm. It's done 178000 miles
