2006 Vauxhall Astra not starting at first time of asking

Car: Vauxhall Astra
Year: 2006
Variant: 1.6
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
This morning the car was playing up. I started the car, it started well as it should but it cut off straight away within maybe a half a second. I started it again and the same thing happened. This happened about 4-5 times before I started it up again but without cutting off this time around. Might be worth mentioning how freezing it was this morning (-1). Prior to this, about a 4 days ago the car behaved weirdly...I turned the key on and the car started as it should, as I was putting the gas pedal down the car wouldn't move off at the expected pace/speed. It felt like there wasn't enough power to move off...the engine was still running. There was a slight delay in moving off

Sounds like you need the coolant temperature sensor checked.
In old school your choke isn't coming on.
