my car was using 2 litres of water every journey and heating up , changed thermostat and was ok then on sunday drove ok to shop then that was it! The sporty drive light on the dash was flashing and she started ok but no power just moved slowly no umph fine going in reverse!! was told it was clutch was told it was bands in gear box need adjusting! i need help!

ok well if your losing water and heating up loss of power ??? sounds like head gasket to me not a big job really if your mechanically minded and will only cost you the ex pence of the gasket but expensive if you have to take it to a garage
