1997 Vauxhall Astra wont run (no power at spark plugs)

Car: Vauxhall Astra
Year: 1997
Variant: Estate (LPG converted)
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Mechanic tried and could not sort it. We were driving and suddendly the engine died. All electrics ok, but it just would never run again. Either on LPG or in Petrol.

So its a fault on the ignition. Starter runs, but the engine will not run.

I need an electrical schematics so we could try to fix it.

Or I might just have to scrap the car, which is a shame considering I replaced the engine with another just 2 months before spending a lot of money.

Primary signal for ignition,
or for that matter the injectors too is the Crank Angle Sensor,
I I'm pretty shocked there's no mention of this from your mechanic.
It's the very first test.
You can even test this CAS yourself,
crank the engine and look at the Rev counter,
it should register say 180-200 RPM,
no rev counter reading usually means no crank angle sensor signal.
