my astra deisel wont start in the morning without a bump (lucky i live on a hill)it starts in about 4 yards. once it has started i can run run 3 or 4 miles to the village and then leave all day and then it starts straight away.i;ve had new glow plugs and battery is only new earlier this year. this problem has come on gradually.any suggestions?

What's your cold cranking speed?
It needs to be a minimum of 180 rpm,
though above 200 rpm is better.
less than 180 rpm means the starter is on the way out.
