2005 Vauxhall Astra complete electrical failure

My son was happily driving along in his Astra when suddenly lost all electric power just as if there were no battery connected. I have checked the power from the battery which is good, checked all fuses and relays that I can but am now at a loss, any help would be great. Thanks.

Remove,
clean and check all the grounds from the battery to the engine/gearbox/
