2004 Vauxhall Astra limp mode

Ihave just bought this astra estate 1.6 duel fuel but it keeos going into limp mode.Can anyone advise me what it could be. Also do i need a special manual for it. Thanks.

There's any number of things this could be,
from nothing to expensive,
So before borrowing trouble get it scanned!
