2007 Vauxhall Astra hesitation

when driving normal, the hesitation happens at 3,000 rpm as you build up speed through 4th and 5th gears ( not tried 6th) it happens for 500 rpm then it releases the power, but when pushed it seems to go not do it as it is lacking air or fuel as I think even putting the sport button on there is no problems either. is there anybody that can tell me the issues I have?
