2012 Vauxhall Astra oil depletion sensor fault

I had my 2012 Astra 1.7 CDTi serviced 500 miles ago, and the oil depletion sensor now shows 79% useful oil. At this rate I'll need an oil change every 2500 miles!
My Vauxhall dealer (Evans Halshaw) says there is nothing wrong - Surely this CAN'T be right. Any advice will be greatly appreciated

How long ago in time was the last service ?
