clutch makes a ticking noise and when pressed its louder

sounds like the fingers on the pressure plate are either one has broken and rattling around in the unit or you have a warn out release bearing but you will require a new complete clutch set up but do have it checked to be sure as all garages are happy to assist nowadays with free advise
