Power steer packed up

my power steering as packed up come out to it one morning dont work replaced the electric power steering motor checked all fuses could this be the alternator ?
but no battery light on ,on the dash either
can anyone help plz?

There was an issue with alternator fault causing power steering failure,but normally battery light comes on,best getting the charging rate checked and voltage going to steering.
