Jerking Around

2001 Vauxhall Astra 1.6 16v
Car: Vauxhall Astra
Year: 2001
Variant: 1.6 16v
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
When driving 6 miles to work and back, me and my partner have noticed that that car jerks, loses a little power and then returns to normal, but recently I have noticed that this is becoming a more frequent issue, I have cleaned the air-filter and air pipes. could this be a spark plug issue or should I just give up on this car now as It has 165387 miles on the clock, and the original braking issues remain.

Usually caused by coil pack and/ or plugs .Loses spark to a cyl . causing misfire .Easy fix if that is fault .

I have exactly the same
Problem by the sounds of it. I got a new inlet manifold and that's not fixed it at all. Let me know if you've managed to sort the problem out please
