2013 Vauxhall Astra oil viscosity

Car: Vauxhall Astra
Year: 2013
Variant: 1.7 tdi
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
we bought this car from new and have had problem with the oil viscosity from new.
it has had to be towed back to dealer twice as a result of STOP light on dash.
basically the oil viscosity is reducing by 5-8% per month.
dealer changed sensors to no effect then said it was normal, then said it was the "style" of driving(he has no idea who drives the car or how and has not revealed what style means.
it is driven every day on a 40 mile each way trip to work, half of the journey on motorway the rest on A-roads so a normal trip.
why is the oil viscosity dropping so fast.

On most modern Diesel engines there are issues with oil becoming diluted due to fuel in oil due to the government adding a certain percentage of green fuel ,can not remember the percentage ,but basically the modern Diesel engine can not cope and it get,s into the oil and causes dilution or rising oil level. How you drive is how you drive I doubt it would make much difference, most manufacturers have adjusted there oil level to ensure it last,s between service intervals.assuming there are no underlying issue,s or fault,s this is normal these days.
