2004 Vauxhall Astra ignition problem i think

Today i was sat in a car park for about 30 minutes with the lights on, interior lights on and the radio on, then when i cam to start the car, the dash lights just kept flashing on and off and the car wouldnt even turn over, then i left it for 10 minutes with everything off, and it started, with abit of difficulty, but no it says i have no petrol and the light is flashing ? what could this be ? i had nearly half a tank left, and it has struggled to fire up a few times before?

Probably just a low battery .Try giving it a charge and it might sort things out .
