Heater does not work

2002 Vauxhall Astra 1.7 Diesel
Car: Vauxhall Astra
Year: 2002
Variant: 1.7 Diesel
Categories: Leaks & Noises
My heater was working but then stopped, does not matter what setting (1-4) I put it on it just refuses to blow out any hot air at all. It does warm up after about 20 mins but does not respond to the controlls

It maybe that your hot air flap has become disconnected from the control, but check that your cooling system is well topped up with coolant and that the top and bottom radiator hoses are both hot.

Check hoses passing through bulkhead into heater matrix are both hot .If cool / cold you may have a thermostat stuck open causing engine to run cold .
