1999 Vauxhall Astra engine management light on after had problem fixed

Engine management light was on got diognosis test said was idle air control valve so got it replaced 2 weeks later same thing happening light back on and cutting out when stopping at light, junctions etc ? What could be so annoying ?

Take it back to the garage if it's the same fault they are supposed to have fixed two weeks ago .

they need to check for air leaks including inlet manifold and give throttle body a good clean to start with
