start with the simple things first when you turn the ignition on does the engine warning light come on solid or flash ? if its flashing then you have a transponder key problem and the chip may have fell out of the key has the key ever come apart? next does it crank over if yes does it have spark and can you hear the fuel pump run?try to eliminate as much as you can or it will be an expensive fix if you keep replacing parts you dont need to

Witty ,,thanks very much for your help i checked all the variables the fuel pump is new ,was replaced when last owner installed the new engine ,plugs and battery also new ,i thought it might have been my ignition coil but even if that was knackered my car would still start but i would have a lot of backfiring ,i also done a few other checks and spent quite a few hours reading online ,i,m now 99% sure my prob is my crankshaft positioning sensor all the symptoms lead to this ,so yet again i give you my thanks you have been very helpful and it,s been greatly appreciated tc
