hi after taking off my wheels the other day i noticed that the brake wear on both front wheels arnt even. the top of the pads on both side arnt touching the top half of the disc and u can feel a slight difference of where it is and where it isnt. the discs and pads were replaced maybe this time last year and they mintex so they not crap. is this normal for astra coz i thought the whole of the pad is supposed to be in contact with the disc.

cheers

Pads should wear evenly . If top of pad not touching , usually caused by pad seized / not moving freely in calliper body .Need to strip down , clean out , free off and use Copperslip grease on contact/ sliding points and back of pads .

Also check that the slide guides are not seized...
