2000 Vauxhall Astra passenger driveshaft locks up

My cat will drive for ten yards before the driveshaft on passenger side locks up makes the car steer left ive changed the driveshaft and it is still doing it iv been told it could be tracking ball joints or gearbox im struggling to find the issue please help

Sounds like a steering pull or camber sensitive issue ,if no previous accident damage evident?Then first check tyres condition tread ,even swap to rear and see if that changes the steering .but foremost is front alignment check and check for steering and suspension wear.

Check the brake calliper and the wheel bearing .
