2006 Vauxhall Astra turbo stops working sometimes and service and exsaust lights on

drives with no problems but have lights on dash sometimes on then go off. than loose power like turbo not working and suddenly starts working again for a short while.

Get it scanned and see what fault codes are shown .

Check that your rod onto turbo waste gate is not sticking and all hoses are connected to turbo control valve.
