2006 Vauxhall Astra dashboard warning lights

Car: Vauxhall Astra
Year: 2006
Variant: 1.6
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Have had problems with exhaust gases light coming on when starting in the morning; particularly if the car gets very wet and has been stood overnight. After a few miles run the light often goes out. Also had problems when starting. On turning the key all the dash lights go out and the starter motor does not turn. If switched off for a few seconds it seems to reset and function correctly. The battery is in good condition the oxygen sensor and thermostat have been replaced. Has anyone a clue what the problem may be? Thanks in anticipation.

They are prone for faulty ignition switches or sticking lock mechanism as the switches are poor quality plastic ,you could check this for play and see if your getting power to the starter when cranking, your emission light would require a code read to see if any relative codes have been logged that could give a clue to the issue.but it would seem both temperature and water are relative to the concern.so you could check for exposed wiring connectors in case there is a issue there, hope this helps .
