2008 Vauxhall Astra intermittent main beam off when wipers on.

Year: 2008
Variant: 1.4 Petrol

Main beam goes off / on but only when wipers on. This happens every 10-15 minutes. I have seen this problem posted 20 december 2011 but the result was not posted after putting the car into a garage.
Any information greatly appreciated.
