2001 Vauxhall Astra map sensor keeps melting

I have pt a new map sensor on my van twice now but it keeps melting and not sure why

Is it the terminal side that's melting ,which would indicate excessive voltage or the sensor tip which may be caused by excessive heat in the pipe perhaps due to something jammed on the exhaust side .Advise a diagnostic for relevant fault codes.

its on terminal side plus the exaust gases seem overly hot
