2005 Vauxhall Astra engine emissions light, car losing power

I have an 2005 vauxhall astra, started car with no issues this morning but ABS light came on and then engine emissions light came on, car started to lose all power. No lights or power steering etc. Switched off engine but could not restart, usual clicking sound when trying to restart with no power. After half an hour was able to restart car but engine emisions light still on. Car dash lights all came on. Seems like an electrical issue rather than anything to do with the emmissions as car passed MOT 2 x weeks ago. Any help greatly appreciated.
