Hi i bought a t reg vauxhall astra club 8v estate year 1999 1.6 coming home the heaters are working well, but the header tank stays cold and wen you release the cap theres no pressure there this is after 40miles the car runs fine appart from this can anyone please advise

Strange as you have got no pressure in the system and header tank still being cold after a 40 mile trip. Try replacing the cap on the header tank with a new one as these do not cost that much. If you still get the same symptoms, then check the thermostat. It may be stuck in the open position. Any more problems, then do come back and tell us...
