2002 Vauxhall Astra coughs & slutters then clears

Whilst driving my Astra suddenly coughs and splutters and dies. After several attempts to restart, it suddenly springs to life again. Used engine cleaner (Redex) but not helped.

It may be something in the fuel line causing a blockage. I would replace fuel filter as a precaution
