Vauxhall Astra roof not open

i have an 06 plate TT. the roof was working up until last week, but stopped working for some reason. I just wondered what culd be the fault, and what the poblem may be, if anyone has any experience of this? I know there is a sequence to this (engine off(?) handbrake on, gear in neutral), but as it was working previously, I hav done all that! when i presses the button to open d roof, an alarm bell goes off for the boot, as if it's not shut properly. so I have make SURE that the boot IS shut!!

It sounds like you have a problem with the boot switch.If the roof ecu sees that the boot is open the roof will not work. it may be just a matter of adjustment so the switch goes from a closed to open state and visa versa.
