why my astra 1.6 sxi puff some when running in idle,but drives with no smoke at all ive changed coil pack n plugs last week.

Keep a check on oil and water levels. If water level is dropping, then it could be the head gasket on the way out...

hi my water level spot on,just oil lamp always flashes but checked oil n topped it up last week,only smokes if im stood for bout 5mins but only happens when ive drove for hour r so .

If oil light is flashing then it could be a faulty pressure switch or oil pump...

you think i should do presure switch first or vise versa thanx.was gan do valve stem seal but would that be waste time.

I would try and get the oil light sorted first. As for the puffs of blue smoke, you will not know until you strip down as to whether it will be valve stem seals or piston ring seals...
