2005 Vauxhall Astra limp mode, weak power up hill, no warning lights

Car: Vauxhall Astra
Year: 2005
Variant: 1.4 Enjoy (petrol)
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
The Astra seems to be very weak under strain, i.e. going up only very slight inclines.

There is a noise which originates from the engine which sounds like it maybe exhaust related.

Car lurches and judders at approx 60mph or 3000rpm.

There are no engine warning lights and a pedal test reveals nothing (constant flashing).

All these symptoms are persistent, there are no moments where there car is working as it should.

Any help would be appreciated :)
