2004 Vauxhall Astra infotainment and steering controls not working

Hi,
Recently had the infotainment and steering wheel controls stop working on a 2004 mk5 astra. The screen is completely blank. The stereo still works, but has to be manually turned on and of via dashboard knob. I have checked the fuse, swapped around relays, left battery disconnected for 30 mins( I heard this resets central locking problems so thought it might be worth a try) but to no avail.
Does anyone have any information that might help with this problem??

Check all connectors at rear of stereo are firmly locked in place.

Hi, there is a recall on that model and zafiras 2004 - 2008 it is probably the CIM (column Integrated Module) take to dealer explain and they should sort out F:O:C if it falls into that category worth a check as is safety issue as usually the horn does not work esp with lights on or dash dimmer turned up full.
