after a driving for a short while and i need to change down to 2nd gear the car loses power and rev counter jumps between750 ans 1500 revs,the only way to get the revs back to normal and get into 2nd gear is to go up to 3rd and wait for the car to pick speed and then drop back to 2nd to get the revs back to normal

sounds like this may be dangerous if caught it traffic, have a word with your local garage, a code read should show up any faults
