whenever petrol gets to half tank car starts dying when accelerating and going up hills but when i fill up again runs ok

i would guess the tank sender unit must be faulty measuring half when tank is empty, you need to establish if it is working correctly

but i only get 100 miles befofe needle is half way so there must be petrol in it
