2007 Vauxhall Astra cannot open the boot lid or the convertible roof

Variant: Twin Top
Cannot open the boot lid or the folding roof. I have managed to empty the boot through a small trap door behind the rear seat arm rest,and I have managed to close the plastic cover. Fuses are OK. Everything locks and unlocks with the remote but the lid and roof will not open. Any suggestions?

Ahhh the twin top!
How long have you got......
First of all, it won't be something simple, you could try disconnecting battery for 10 mins to see if at least you can get the boot working. If not it has to go to main dealer or someone with Tech 2 to manipulate the systems.
I am a vauxhall tech and have many many problems with the twin tops.
I will say 99.9% of the timetable a broken wire, usually on the N/S boot hinge. If you follow the wiring through the sheath you can see tight spots, look around those areas.
It's very easy when you know how, but Tech 2 makes life a lot easier!

found the broken wires, and fixed these, but the boot still stays locked and the roof wont work
