Vauxhall Astra jumps during driving

Hi,
I have an Astra 1.6 8V Club petrol and it jumps when I accelerate at low rpm and also done it on motorway at still speed. After the engine ran a bit and try to re-start it I need to press the throttle to get the right rpm. I also have the engine light on, read the fault code, it is the EGR valve what I had cleaned but came back on. Are these in context?? Does anyone have any ideas???

If you have cleaned the egr valve.does the same code occur,it maybe that cleaning it was not enough to resolve this issue,have you checked the pwr at the connector to the valve.the valve itself could also be jamming.I have replaced many of these with the syptom you describe,hope this helps.
